Coating Automation

It is almost inevitable to apply automation systems in order to make more efficient and economical production in surface finishing processes. It is very difficult today to meet the various needs and intense demands in coating processes without automation systems. Coating plants include a wide variety of equipment, different structures, techniques and coating processes. Therefore, different functions and equipment are compatible with process automations. Some of these equipment are:

  • transfer equipment;
  • coolants;
  • loading and unloading equipment;
  • moving and mixing parts;
  • tanks and special equipment;
  • ventilation;
  • filters;
  • rinsing equipment;
  • rectifiers;
  • chemical dosing systems;
  • heaters;
  • water treatment equipment.

Correctly programmed coating automation provides great advantages to the system.

For example: Efficient loading of facilities and bathrooms, less manpower, hygiene in the workplace, control of the desired coating quality, no human-induced errors, controlled chemical consumption, controlled increase in capacity, low energy consumption, time savings, changing the order according to the process.

Dosing Equipment

Some components are reduced both electrolytically and by transport during operation in coating baths. The part of these reductions (salts) that decreases with transportation is determined by analytical methods and is given to the bath by allowing it to dissolve outside. Some of them are added in ampershocks when necessary. In ampere hour controlled systems, it is done additionally manually or by automatic dosing systems. Since the error rate will be higher in manual additions, systems called automatic dosing are recommended. Because the lack of chemicals and the excess also affect the coating quality and efficiency. In addition, another reason why automatic dosing is preferred or recommended is cost. The additions left to the initiative of the people may be made out of need or incomplete. In automatic dosing systems, dosing pumps are activated depending on the ampere hour passed and chemical dosing to the solution is realized. However, even if working with automatic dosing system in a facility, it must be checked whether these pumps are in working condition and whether they are clogged. Today, this conscious development has started to be applied in manual facilities as well as in automated facilities. However, even if working with automatic dosing system in a facility, it must be checked whether these pumps are in working condition and whether they are clogged. Today, this conscious development has started to be implemented in manual facilities as well as in automated facilities. However, even if working with automatic dosing system in a facility, it must be checked whether these pumps are in working condition and whether they are clogged. Today, this conscious development has started to be implemented in manual facilities as well as in automated facilities.
